Crossbow Regulations - International

We ship all products worldwide!

The only exceptions being if a certain item is known to not be legal in your country, or if it is against United States Law to do business in or export to your country (more info).

It is your responsibility to ensure that your purchase is legal where you live (or legal for you, if it is only legal with a permit). We cannot be responsible for any shipments that are seized by your local Customs Authority.

If a license or other legal documents are required to purchase, possess, or import ordered items:

We will need a copy of any required documents to include while processing your order. If necessary, we will include these in the paperwork sent with your parcel to let customs and other authorities know that the parcel is legal. The documents do not need to be in English. You may send us a copy of your document(s) via any of the following methods:
  • Email: please inquire for an email address
  • Fax: +1-727-231-0916
  • Regular Mail
    Mailing address:
    Crossbow Warehouse
    4725 Trafford Rd., Ste: 200
    Holiday, Florida 34690
    USA
For any of the above methods, please ensure that the copy is clearly legible (again, it does not need to be in English). For email, please ensure that the file is under 4MB, and in GIF, JPG or TIF format. If you cannot make it in one of these formats, let us know what you can make and we may be able to accept it.

If ordered items are banned in your country:

We will be unable to process orders that include items we know to be illegal in the country indicated in the shipping address. If this information becomes known to us after you place your order, we will cancel your order and provide you with a full refund.

I think crossbows are illegal in my country, or will be difficult to get over the border. Can you send my order in packaging that identifies it as something else?

If an ordered item is not allowed in your country, we cannot disguise it as something else. If such deception were discovered, your parcel would most certainly get seized by your government, you would not be eligible for a refund, and it could get both you and us in some pretty serious legal trouble.

More Information

For orders to any countries for which we do not know the local laws and you have not provided a copy of a license, permit, etc., we will assume that you know that your purchase is legal without such documentation. Occasionally, during processing, we may be made aware of possible regulations that affect your order. If this occurs, we will send you an email requesting verification. If you do not believe the information to be correct, don't be afraid to let us know. Our researchers may then contact your government to find out the official word on the matter. No personal information about you will be shared, and we will keep you updated during the entire process. If the purchase is legal as-is, we will continue processing your order right away. If documentation from you is required, we'll continue processing your order as soon as we receive a copy. And of course, if the item is banned, or if you are for whatever reason unable to secure a permit, license, etc., we can cancel your order (or just the illegal part of your order if you prefer), and provide you with a refund.

Below is information for some countries where we've specifically looked into the law, and received the official word from the law as posted on an official government website, a response from a government official, or one or more citizens of the country that are well-versed on the law.

Unless they specifically state another product, all listings on this page refer to crossbows only.

If your country is not listed here, and you do not know the law in your country, please contact us, and we will do our best to find out for you. We will also post our findings on this page to let all customers in your country know about the law.

Crossbows are considered "sport utilities" and not weapons. As such, they are legal to purchase/import without any special license.

We welcome you to help us keep this page one of the best crossbow resources on the Internet. If you know any of the above information to be incorrect, please contact us and let us know which regulation is incorrect, and cite your source for the new information. If our researchers verify it, we will include it on this page. While we make every effort to keep the informaiton on this page as up-to-date and accurate as possible, this page is merely a quick reference guide and customers are reminded that they are fully responsible for obeying all applicable laws and regulations where they live. We are not responsible for any parcel that is seized by authorities in the receiving country.

US Embargoes, Export Regulations, Etc.

In the United States, it is illegal for us to do business in or with certain countries, or even certain individuals or entities outside of the USA. As of 2008, countries and entities that are against US law to do business with include:
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Myanmar (Burma)

There are also list-based sanctions related to diamond trading, drugs, nuclear proliferation, and terrorism. For more information, please see the website of the United States Department of the Treasury. In general, to quickly identify whether or not we can ship to your country, prohibited countries are not selectable when entering a shipping address in our system.

There are a few other countries that are not technically prohibited, but we have deemed too unstable to reliably ship to. Some are available at signup, some are not. If you order from one of these countries, please be advised that you are doing so at your own risk.

  • Ethiopia
